Find What Fits

I am a filmmaker and I owe that to Batman.

In truth it was Tim Burton’s 1989 film Batman that changed my life but the ideals of the character transferred too.  My father took me to see the film when I was two years old and instantly I became obsessed with a man in a cape and cowl, and the idea that with film I can do anything.   I refused to attend weddings as a toddler without a cape over my tux.  This film sparked a lifelong love of comic books and as I grew older the extended series taught lessons in storytelling.   Film changed the way I see the world; it altered my beliefs about what can and can't be done.

The movie theater became my second home. There is something incredible about a room full of total strangers sitting silently, sharing in the experience.  Whether it’s making us laugh or making us cry, it alters the way we see our world.

It is with great pleasure that I look to share my passion for film with you.

One of the things you do as a writer and as a filmmaker is grasp for resonant symbols and imagery without necessarily fully understanding it yourself.
